A Hall County Sheriff’s Office deputy was terminated after an investigation into an alleged inappropriate relationship with an inmate.

Corey Alexander, 30, of Braselton, was terminated Sunday following the Sheriff’s Office’s investigation into an “inappropriate relationship with a female on house arrest,” Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Deputy Nicole Bailes said.

Alexander is a seven-year employee who supervised people on house arrest for the jail division.

The internal investigation is still underway, Bailes said.

An attempt to reach Alexander for comment was unsuccessful.
