Hall man charged in Monday shooting death
Authorities say a homicide was reported early Monday out front of this home on Barnes Drive east of Gainesville.

A Hall County man was charged Tuesday with felony murder in the early Monday shooting death on Barnes Drive, according to authorities.

Delwoun Quintess Williams, 24, was arrested and charged in connection to Cornelius Gordon’s death. Gordon, 24, of Gainesville, was shot in the head inside a Toyota Camry Monday morning.

He was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center by friends and later died from his injuries, according to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff’s Office officials said Williams was arrested on an outstanding State Court probation warrant issued in May.
Officials said Williams was a “person of interest” regarding Gordon’s death.

“As a result of the investigation, Williams was charged with the murder of Cornelius Gordon,” Lt. Chris Dale wrote in a news release.

The case is still under investigation.

Lt. Scott Ware said Monday that Gordon did not live at the residence and that there was a party at the mobile home around the time of the shooting.
