The Hall County Board of Commissioners is set to approve about $1 million in spending on Thursday for the purchase of a new firetruck with an aerial platform. During a training exercise in July, firefighters TJ Elliott, Stephen Jackson and Will Griffin were seriously injured when the bucket atop a fire truck ladder fell 44 feet. That truck has since been taken out of service while an investigation into the cause of the accident continues.
