A Hall County man convicted in shooting a teenager in the leg has been sentenced to serve 12 years in prison.
Darrius Sullivan, 18, was convicted by a jury in February on the charges of aggravated assault with the intent to rob, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated battery and possession of a firearm in the commission of a crime.
Sullivan was accused of shooting a semiautomatic pistol four times at Derick Young, 17, on May 17 at City Park. Young suffered a gunshot wound to the leg, said Northeastern Judicial Circuit District Attorney Lee Darragh.
Hall County Superior Court Judge Andrew Fuller sentenced Sullivan to serve 12 years in prison, plus eight years on probation.
