Gov. Nathan Deal has appointed James C. "Jim" Weidner to the Georgia Superior Court Clerks Cooperative Authority.

Weidner is a partner and managing member of Oliver & Weidner law firm of Clarkesville. He has a bachelor's degree from The State University of New York at Buffalo and a law degree from Georgia State University.

The authority implements and administers a statewide central index for UCC filings along with indexes for real estate and personal property records and civil case filings. It also maintains a central database of notaries public.
