Two downtown Gainesville alleys abandoned by the city for public use in 2010 now have new owners.

Gainesville City Council voted Tuesday, May 18, to divide the alleys between Washington, Spring and Maple streets into four parcels and transfer ownership to Peach State Bank, Ninth District Opportunity, Ernest Hyman Reynolds and James Tortorelli.
