Eagle Ranch is seeking a rezoning on 9.7 acres off Union Church Road for The James W. Webb Wings Center, which will provide community counseling services and a space for marriage and ministry retreats.

Eagle Ranch, a Christian-based organization that works with children and families, will be moving forward with its plans for a counseling and retreat center after the Hall County Board of Commissioners approved the request Wednesday.

Almost 10 acres on the south side of Union Church Road near Oliver Road will be rezoned from agricultural-residential to planned residential development for the 12,000-square-foot James W. Webb Wings Center.

The Wings Center will have six offices for outpatient counseling services and would house the Wings Initiative, which guides children’s programs and nonprofits as they are starting up or evaluating their own programs.

Counseling at The Wings Center will be family-focused and will help children who have returned to their families as they adjust to life back at home.

Four bedrooms on the lower level of the center will be used for marriage and counseling retreats.
