An Atlanta developer’s proposal for a 289-unit apartment complex in South Hall was denied Monday, Nov. 11, by the Braselton Town Council.

Callicott Holdings LLC was seeking an annexation and rezoning for 36 acres off Thompson Mill Road, just east of Spout Springs Road, for the complex.

The complex would have been next to Oaks at Braselton assisted living and memory care center, and a 248-unit apartment complex, Noble Vines, which opened this fall.

Kevin Keller, Braselton’s planning director, had recommended approval of the project based on the developer meeting certain conditions, including obtaining a permit from Hall County to allow access to Thompson Mill Road.
