A gospel music concert Saturday was put on by the Disabled American Veterans at Lakewood Baptist Church in Gainesville. Last year’s concert raised about $9,000 for the DAV to help provide food, services and occasionally a paid bill for veterans in need. Last year alone, the DAV spent over $40,000 providing meals, pumping septic tanks, paying rent and more for veterans in the Gainesville community.
