Family members rescued a 2-year-old girl from Lake Lanier on Saturday, Gwinnett County emergency crews reported.

The girl was playing at Buford Dam Park on Saturday when family members discovered her floating face-first in the water.

Gwinnett firefighters responded at 2:27 p.m. and found that she had been pulled from the water.

CPR was performed on the child and she was reported conscious and breathing when units arrived.

She was transported to Scottish Rite Children's Hospital in Atlanta and was reported in stable condition.
