An inmate at the Hall County Jail is dead in what appears to be a suicide, according to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.

The inmate was found about 1 p.m. Sunday. An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is investigating, which is standard procedure for deaths of those in custody. The inmate’s identity is being withheld pending notification of family.
