A missing Gainesville woman was found safe Monday night in Spaulding County.

Montene Mae Morgan was last seen around 7 p.m. Monday.

According to her family, she gets confused easily and may have dementia.

She had her dog, a black-and-tan miniature Doberman pincher, with her.

Gainesville police said Tuesday morning Morgan was taken to a local hospital for evaluation. Her family was en route to pick up her and her dog.

Morgan has lived in Gainesville only three weeks and is not familiar with the area.

She previously lived in Cartersville.
