Traffic tickets and municipal court fines in Gainesville can now be paid on the city’s Web site, according to a news release from the city.

Beverly Williams, the financial services manager for the city’s Administrative Services department, said the online payment option is one way the city has tried to improve customer service.

Williams said the city has been developing the online payment system for several months. Previously, the department made it possible to pay water bills on the city’s Web site, www.gainesville.org.

"Our customers have been asking for this convenience and we’re glad to be able to offer it," Williams said.

In May, Hall County and the Department of Natural Resources made their fines payable online through the Web site paymyticket.hallcounty.org.
