The city of Gainesville is kicking off a health initiative called Gainesville Walks on Monday at Fair Street School. The initiative is designed to get the community together to exercise and socialize to benefit health. Gainesville teamed with Newtown Florist Club, Gainesville Parks and Recreation, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hall County and Brenau University for the locations of the walks, which include Rock Creek Greenway, Midtown Greenway, Riverside Drive, the Brenau University Mile and the Fair Street neighborhood.
