The Gainesville Board of Education plans to discuss goal planning for the 2010-11 school year and hear a mid-year report on Gainesville Middle School goals during its meeting tonight.

The board is set to meet at 7 tonight at city school offices, 508 Oak St.

The meeting normally takes place on the third Monday of the month but was moved because of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Superintendent Merrianne Dyer said the meeting is fairly routine in nature but will feature a dozen recognitions, including the Gainesville Middle swim program and the Gainesville High School Academic Bowl team.
