Gainesville school board recognizes retirees
18 honored by city system

Eighteen of Gainesville City Schools’ employees were recognized Tuesday as their service to the school system comes to an end. Retirees from all the Gainesville schools and the central office were presented with a parting gift and recognized by the school board, Superintendent Wanda Creel and Sarah Bell, director of curriculum and instruction. Gainesville City Schools’ retirees include Charlene Williams, Elaine Cantrell and Martha Rightmyer from Enota Multiple Intelligences Academy; Sue Beard, Carol Brinson and Michele Colbert from Fair Street International Baccalaureate World School; Kathleen Keita from Gainesville Exploration Academy; Brenda Pyant from New Holland Knowledge Academy; Tom Thrasher, Charles Witt and Brenda Perry from Gainesville Middle School; LaCrisia Larkin and Alese Rock from Gainesville High School; Barbara Brooks and Tom Kirk from Wood’s Mill Academy; and Janet Allison, Christine Brosky and Jimmie Minor from the central office.
