Gainesville Police release sketch of armed robbery suspect

Gainesville Police issued this sketch of one suspect in the April 1 armed robbery on Providence Drive that left the victim hospitalized with gunshot wounds.

Police are seeking the public’s help identifying an armed robbery suspect who sent his victim to the hospital April 1 with a gunshot wound that was not life-threatening.

Gainesville Police and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation are looking for one or two suspects in the Providence Drive armed robbery of last week.

Police responded around 10:30 p.m. April 1 to the 700 block of Providence Drive.

“During the incident, a male victim was shot and transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries,” Gainesville Police wrote in a news release

One suspect was described as a 5-foot-10 Hispanic male with a slim build and between 25 and 35 years old. He was seen wearing a black leather jacket and jeans.

“The second suspect is described as a taller, slim, light-skin black male,” police said in the news release. “During the incident, he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.”
