A motorcyclist died after injuries sustained from a collision on Ga. 369/Browns Bridge Road, according to Georgia State Patrol.

David Daniel Murray, 52, of Gainesville, succumbed to his injuries Friday, according to his obituary. Murray was involved in a collision at about 4 p.m. Oct. 28.

Murray was driving his 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on Browns Bridge Road near Dorsey Road. A 2015 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was ahead of Murray going the same direction and was slowing down for traffic, according to GSP Trooper Matthew Thompson.

A witness, Thompson said, was in a vehicle between Murray and the truck.

“He said he saw the motorcycle coming up on him and appeared to be going too fast,” Thompson said. “So the one in between them, the witness, swerved to the right to avoid getting hit. The motorcycle missed him and hit the truck.”

Murray was transported to the hospital from the scene for injuries.
