Authorities say an 18-year-old Gainesville man stabbed his older brother after an early morning argument on Marlow Drive.

Anthony Juan Hood was arrested and charged with aggravated assault under the Family Violence Act. The Hall County Sheriff’s Office reported he stabbed his brother Trevor Lee Benson, 25, in the abdomen.

The alleged stabbing took place in the 1300 block of Marlow Drive around 3 a.m. today.

Benson was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center and is in stable condition.

Authorities said Hood fled the scene following the stabbing. He was later found and arrested by the Sheriff’s Office.

Hood was booked into the Hall County Jail. Additional charges are pending.
