A maintenance project involving the Ga. 53 /Jasper Highway bridge over Amicalola Creek in Dawson County is finished. The bridge, which is west of Tinsley Chapel Road, is now open to traffic, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation. Crews had worked to put down a new concrete driving surface and finished well before the completion date of Sept. 31.
