Traffic is backed up on Ga. 365 on Friday, July 20, due to an accident south of Tribble Gap Road near Jaemor Farms.

Three people received minor injuries after a wreck involving a pickup truck overturning on the driver’s side around 4 p.m. Friday, July 20, on Ga. 365 in Hall County.

Georgia State Patrol Cpl. Josh Hedden said a Lincoln Mark LT pickup truck driven by Roderick McDonald, 85, of Winder, was traveling from Jaemor Farm Road and crossing onto Ga. 365 northbound.

At the same time, Robin Wise, 52, of Cornelia, was heading northbound in the left lane of Ga. 365 in a Toyota Camry.

Hedden said McDonald’s truck failed to yield when crossing over Ga. 365, causing Wise’s car to strike the truck’s left side.

“After initial impact, (the truck) rotated clockwise and overturned onto the driver’s side,” Hedden wrote in an email.

Wise’s car stopped in the median.

McDonald, Wise and McDonald’s passenger, Hatha Rae McDonald, 82, of Winder, all received minor injuries. Roderick McDonald was cited for failure to yield, according to state patrol.

Ga. 365 northbound was shut down for about an hour Friday afternoon.
