The widening of Friendship Road/Ga. 347 in South Hall County was supposed to wrap up today, but weather is putting off the expected completion to June. “Based on the unusually wet year that delayed work and that asphalt is temperature sensitive — it needs to be warm, about 50 degrees, to pave — the completion date had been renegotiated with the contractor,” Georgia Department of Transportation district spokeswoman Teri Pope said Monday. The revised completion date is June 30, she said.
