Foundation seeks Philanthropist of the Year nominations

The North Georgia Community Foundation is seeking nominations for its Philanthropist of the Year award.

The annual event recognizes an individual or family for their impact in Northeast Georgia.

Nominations can be submitted from the Foundation's 15-county service area, which includes Banks, Dawson, Fannin, Forsyth, Franklin, Habersham, Hall, Hart, Jackson, Lumpkin, Rabun, Stephens, Towns, Union and White counties.

Nominees should be individuals with a record of generosity who demonstrate outstanding civic and charitable responsibility, and whose generosity encourages others to take philanthropic leadership roles.

The award will be presented Nov. 17 during the North Georgia Community Foundation's Philanthropy Day luncheon.
