Forsyth County pursuing grants for connectivity of Lake Lanier parks

Changes could be coming to a couple of parks along Lake Lanier if Forsyth County is able secure federal grant funding. At their work session Tuesday, county commissioners voted 4-0, with Todd Levent absent, to pursue two grants totaling $5 million through the Fiscal Year 2015 Eastern Federal Lands Access Program. The larger of the two grants could be worth up to nearly $4.8 million, with a required match from the county not to exceed about $1.2 million.
