A former employee at a Gainesville gym is accused of setting his phone to record in a tanning bed room, police said.

Camden Blake Eades, 25, of Gainesville, was charged with invasion of privacy. He was booked Monday night in to the Hall County Jail. The jail website listed a $5,700 bond.

A Gainesville Police officer responded to the John Morrow Parkway Planet Fitness Thursday “in reference to a customer being recorded while being undressed in the tanning bed room.”

Cpl. Jessica Van said Eades allegedly set it up on his smartphone.

“The victim saw it in the room and grabbed it,” Van said.

Attorney Chloe Owens did not return a request for comment.

“At Planet Fitness the safety and privacy of our members is our No. 1 priority. The employee in question was immediately terminated and the franchise owner is working closely with the local authorities to assist in the investigation in any way possible,” Planet Fitness said in a statement.

Cpl. Drew Reed said the case is still under investigation. Investigators have a search warrant for the phone.
