Flowery Branch City Council plans to hold a public hearing Thursday night on a Lula man’s application to build a duplex on Church Street at Mooney Drive.

Bill Roberts is seeking a conditional use permit so he can build the duplex on the half-acre lot.

Each 1,200-square-foot unit will feature two bedrooms and bathrooms and a two-car garage, according to paperwork from the city.

The permit is required to build in the area, designated as a “traditional neighborhood development.”

City officials are recommending approval.

The public hearing is set to take place at 6 p.m. in City Hall, 5517 Main St.
