Hall County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Flowery Branch man they say was tending to a patch of pot plants off Howard Road Friday.

Samuel Christopher Shockley, 45, was seen by deputies walking out of a wooded area where eight marijuana plants were growing, authorities said. He had a portion of a marijuana plant with him, according to officials.

A search of Shockley’s car turned up fertilizer, a shovel and a garden spade, authorities said.

Shockley was charged with manufacture of marijuana.

In an unrelated drug bust Thursday, two people were charged with possessing three pounds of marijuana during a search of a home at 1323 Ralston St.

Jason Lavar Shields, 30, and Ryan Renaldo Mason, 26, were charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
