Special elections June 16 to fill unexpired council terms in Flowery Branch and Lula are fast approaching, and the new Hall County elections board identified its role at a meeting Tuesday. “Our role that day is basically to just be available,” said Hall County Elections Director Charlotte Sosebee, adding that the board will deliver ballots to local hospitals, if necessary, and also handle any voter registration challenges on Election Day. But while Hall County will serve in an advisory role — both cities will conduct their own elections — June 16 will be the first time the new board is involved in a candidate election.
