Hall County Fire Services responded to a brush fire about 5 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Little River Circle off Blueberry Hills Drive.

According to Capt. Zachary Brackett, crews located an approximately 1-acre fire on Corps of Engineer property on an island due south of Little River Circle in Lake Lanier.

The Corps was advised of the incident and instructed the Fire Department to let the fire burn if it was not a threat to other property.

The scene was left under the watch of a Georgia Forestry supervisor.

Brackett said there would continue to be smoke in the area while the fire was active.
