Hall County and Gainesville firefighters worked Sunday evening to battle a house fire that spread to neighboring fields and woods. Hall first responded after getting a call at 5:35 p.m. from a passer-by who reported flames and smoke at a house in the 4300 block of Spain Hill Road off Browns Bridge Road, Hall County Fire Chief David Kimbrell said. Units noticed smoke while on their way to the house, he said.
