An overnight fire destroyed a vacant home in Gainesville. No one was injured.

Hall County fire crews responded to a call from a neighbor to the 1700 block of Crow Lane off Skelton Road. The found the 1,400-square-foot home about 75 percent involved with heavy fire.

Firefighters were able to douse the fire, but the home was a total loss estimated at $80,000.

Bystanders reported that the home's occupants had moved out earlier this weekend.

A Fire Services investigator will determine the cause of the blaze.
