Fire destroyed a mobile home and a car and left one woman with minor burns to her hand.
Hall County firefighters responded at 3:45 p.m. Sunday to the fire at 7697 Poole Circle, off Old Cornelia Highway in East Hall near Habersham County.
The singlewide mobile home, which had an addition, and a 1996 Mercury vehicle “were pretty much fully involved” in flames, said Hall County Fire Services Chief David Kimbrell.
By 5 p.m., firefighters were finishing up at the scene, he said. The home was owned by Raymond Dunagan and occupied by a couple and two children, ages 2 and 3, Kimbrell said.
“Investigators are still trying to determine what caused (the fire),” the chief said. “They believed it started in the area of the wood stove.”
The home and car are a “total loss,” he added.
The four people have a place to stay, but American Red Cross “is assisting them with clothing and some personal items,” Kimbrell said.
