Fire destroys Flowery Branch home
Fire destroyed this home in Flowery Branch, displacing a family of four.

A Flowery Branch family of four lost its home in a Monday afternoon fire.

The couple and their two girls, ages 3 and 5, were not injured.

Flames were seen coming from the second floor and attic when firefighters arrived, Hall County Fire Services reported.

The fire destroyed the 2,000-square-foot house on the 5800 block of Bridgeport Court. The home was valued at about $170,000, according to the fire department.

Two homes on either side had moderate damage, worth about $15,000, according to the fire department.

The American Red Cross was contacted to help the family.

The cause and origin of the fire haven’t been determined, Hall County Fire Services Capt. Zachary Brackett wrote in an email.
