The Hall County Schools Board of Education will meet tonight.

Board members will hear an update on the Teacher Effectiveness Measure evaluation being developed by the Georgia Department of Education for Race to the Top. They will also discuss Georgia House Bill 186, which along with House Bill 400, aims  to waive Georgia’s participation in No Child Left Behind and Adequate Yearly Progress. Instead, schools will be evaluated on how they make students college and career ready.

Superintendent Will Schofield also plans to propose an additional $460,000 to be spent on blended learning, which is a combination of classroom and online learning, and constructing a new weight room at Chestatee High School.
