Driver in fiery Capitol crash identified
North Carolina man allegedly stole pickup truck in Gainesville

The driver who eluded Georgia Capitol Police in Atlanta on May 1 after allegedly stealing a pickup truck in Gainesville has been identified. Georgia State Patrol said Tevin Harris, 19, of Matthews, N.C., crashed a 2005 gray Ford F-150 into a tree near Moreland Avenue and died. Earlier that day, authorities believe Harris stole the truck from a Norfolk Southern employee after taking the man’s keys and wallet from the depot.
