Another South Hall road widening project is in the works. The Georgia Department of Transportation awarded a $16.3 million contract July 1 to E.R. Snell Contractor of Snellville to widen Atlanta Highway/Ga. 13 from Sawnee Avenue to Lanier Islands Parkway/Ga. 347. The 1.7-mile project straddles Hall and Gwinnett counties and would run through Buford and Rest Haven.
