A dog died in this house fire early Wednesday morning on Spring Lake Drive in Flowery Branch.

A dog died in a house fire early Wednesday in Flowery Branch, according to authorities.

Hall County firefighters received the call around 2:20 a.m. Wednesday to the 6200 block of Spring Lake Drive in Flowery Branch. First responders discovered a 3,000-square-foot home with “heavy fire” in the garage, according to authorities.

“An aggressive interior attack was utilized to extinguish the fire,” Capt. Zachary Brackett said.

No other injuries were reported as the home’s residents were outside when firefighters arrived, and the American Red Cross is assisting the residents.

The cause of the fire is undetermined.
