Another 175 child welfare staff members will join the Division of Family and Children Services in July as the number of regional foster homes has increased more than 10 percent. DFCS Director Bobby Cagle and other regional officials met Thursday at Lanier Technical College’s Oakwood campus to discuss progress. DFCS Region 2 Director Kenny Jarvis said the region had 125 foster homes this time last year.
