Authorities charged a Demorest man with the death of his brother, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
The GBI said Dennis Wayne Taylor, 53, called 911 around 2:30 a.m. Friday, April 26, to a residence on Highway 115 in Demorest.
Donnie Mitchell Taylor, 47, who shares the residence with his brother, was found dead by Habersham County Sheriff’s Office deputies. Officers saw there was a “wound caused by a sharp-edged instrument.”
“After further investigation, Dennis Taylor was arrested and charged with the murder of his brother,” according to the GBI.
Donnie Taylor’s body was transferred to the GBI Crime Lab for autopsy, and his brother was taken to the Habersham County Jail.
The case is still under investigation before it goes to the Mountain Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office.
