Dead woman found in park was strangled with Ethernet cable

The Flowery Branch woman whose remains were found last October in a Hall County park was strangled with an Ethernet cable, according to Gwinnett County warrants. Cleanup crews found the remains of Kayla Jeanne Nelson, 20, also known as Kayla Weil, wrapped in a blanket inside a Chestnut Ridge Park bathroom. The suspect in the murder, Amy Leanne McGarity, 28, of Oakwood was charged on Sept. 16 by Gwinnett County police.
