Dawson County gets 3 new fire trucks
Engines to replace models from 1984 and 1985

Dawson County Emergency Services recently got three new fire trucks to replace models from 1984 and 1985.

"We were at a disadvantage because most of our vehicles are about the same age and they are all just about used up," said Mike Berg, chairman of the Dawson County Board of Commissioners. "This will, primarily, give the citizens better services and a greater peace of mind."

One of the trucks is already in use, and the other two won't be far behind.

Berg said the expenditure was a difficult one but the need outweighed the cost.
