A Cumming man was killed in a Tuesday night wreck in unincorporated Buford, Gwinnett police said.

Jeffrey Mathews, 44, died after his 1996 Ford Mustang left the road in a curve on Tuggle Road near Hamilton Road, Cpl. David Schiralli said.

Mathews, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the car after it struck several objects and flipped, Schiralli said. The wreck happened at about 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Mathews was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
