Weights were lifted and burpies jumped Saturday as CrossFit athletes from all over metro Atlanta and North Georgia came to compete in the inaugural Showdown on the Square. CrossFit Northeast Georgia was host to the competition that was sold out with 120 athletes competing. Gathered on the square in Gainesville, two-person teams competed in various heats that featured different CrossFit moves.
