West Hall High School graduate Yesica Turcios-Galvez received a $10,000 scholarship $2,500 each year of college from Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities.

The Gainesville resident will be attending Georgia State University, where she will be studying biology. Turcios-Galvez was recognized at an awards breakfast on June 24 held at the Gatewood House near Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston.

The Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities awarded $275,000 in scholarships to 60 graduating high school seniors from across the metro Atlanta area.
