Edgewater on Lanier Apartments in Gainesville has completed its $2 million renovation and debuted its new look Saturday at an open house.
The apartments on Old Thompson Bridge Road in Gainesville include a park overlooking the water, a renovated clubhouse and fitness center, a new children’s playroom, a meeting center and upgraded interiors.
“We believe the additions bring out the best in the apartment community, making it one of the most appealing in the area,” said Elia Zinn, general partner with The Griffin Fund, which acquired the 180-unit community in September 2014. “These renovations were geared toward providing our residents the ultimate on lakeside apartment living.”
Improvements include a waterfront park on a terrace and a higher lookout patio, along with a gazebo, grilling area, new trees and landscaping. A staircase leads to the park on one side, and the resort-style pool, sundeck and cabanas on the other. A new dock offers short-term boat mooring with access to the pool area.
The clubhouse has modern fitness equipment, a lounge with Wi-Fi and a new business center.
Interiors of the apartments are being renovated upon resident turnover and include kitchen upgrades, new appliances and cabinets, new flooring and paint schemes, backsplashes and lighting packages.
