Dr. Ankit A. Patel has joined The Heart Center of Northeast Georgia Medical Center and is accepting new patients at the practice’s Braselton and Commerce locations.

Patel received his medical degree from Government Medical College in Surat, India. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah and a series of fellowships in cardiac imaging, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas, and the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.

He started the pacemaker program at Cartersville Medical Center in Cartersville.
