Synovus/Bank of North Georgia has named David Abee executive vice president, middle market banking executive. Abee was previously with Regions Bank for 10 years, most recently as market president of the Northeast Georgia region.

Abee has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. He is an executive board member of Junior Achievement of Northeast Georgia. He is vice chairman of the Gainesville Redevelopment Authority, and he chairs the Finance Committee at the Chattahoochee Country Club.

Abee is a graduate of Samford University and earned a graduate degree in commercial banking and management from the University of Oklahoma.
