Lakeview Academy senior Sam Dubin and Flowery Branch High School senior Lauren Hill were named the winners of the Broadway Dreams Performance Scholarships at the ArtsBridge Foundation’s eighth annual Georgia High School Musical theater awards, the Shuler Hensley Awards. The 2016 award ceremony was held at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta on April 21.

The scholarship offers students the opportunity to attend an intensive acting camp in the summer conducted by Broadway actors.

Lakeview Academy’s song performance of “Don’t Break the Rules” from the “Catch Me If You Can” show was nominated as a Shuler Showstopper. The following students, all from Lakeview Academy, received honorable mentions: Cece Conrath for Shuler Direction; Mikhail Lovell and Army Castillo for Shuler Sound; and Emily Taylor for Shuler Technical Execution.
