An upcoming Netflix series will shoot a scene at a Flowery Branch barbecue restaurant in the coming weeks.
Moonie’s Texas Barbecue said the series “Ozark,” which is slated to debut in 2017, will film a scene at the Flowery Branch restaurant on Oct. 26.
“They were just scouting locations and came by like a month ago asking if we would be OK with them shooting here,” Moonie’s manager Christoph Gneiding said Friday.
Gneiding said he was unsure of what kind of scene would be filmed at the Atlanta Highway restaurant.
The Netflix series stars Jason Bateman, who is famous for roles in “Arrested Development” and “Horrible Bosses.”
According to a report from The Hollywood Reporter earlier this year, Bateman plays a “family man who moves from the city to the Lake of the Ozarks to begin repaying the money-laundering debt he owes to a ruthless drug lord.”
“Half of the parking lot will be closed from 7 a.m.-3 p.m., so it’s going to be a little hectic,” Moonie’s wrote on its Facebook page announcing the news. “Also the deck will be closed for filming.”
