College crews descend on Gainesville for rowing regatta

Sporting T-shirts with “McNamara” written in tangerine type, Matt and Bridget Hartzell made the four-hour trip from West Alabama to support Bridget’s nephew Danny McNamara. McNamara and the Orange Coast College crew joined a group of 70 teams at the American Collegiate Rowing Association national championship at the Lake Lanier Olympic Venue in Gainesville. “His daddy’s an Alabama boy, but he’s a California boy,” Bridget Hartzell said of her nephew.
